Edith J. Amstutz, 91, of Fayette, Ohio, died Dec. 12, 2006, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, Ohio.
She was born June 8, 1915, in Fulton County, Ohio, to George and Eunice (Clark) Boyers. She married Earl Amstutz on June 19, 1938, in Tedrow, and he preceded her in death in June 1969.
Edith was a homemaker and worked as a guide at Sauder Village near Archbold for many years. She loved life on the farm and spent her life canning, gardening and sewing for her family. She was a faithful, dedicated member of Fayette Christian Church and served as a deaconess.
Edith is survived by three children, Lee (and Pat) Amstutz of Westville, Ind., Diane (and Chris) Trivelas of River Forest, Ill., and Mary Ann (and Vern) Reichmanis of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Leland (and Delores) Boyers of Wauseon, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Edith was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bertha McMillen, and four brothers, Glen, Leo, Howard and Clark Boyers.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Gene Sugg officiating. Burial will follow in Tedrow Cemetery in Tedrow. Visitation is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15.
