Jerrol Schlicht, 76, of Morenci, Mich., died Sept. 23, 2011, at home.
He was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Manchester, Mich., the son of Clarence and Hilda (Feldkamp) Schlicht. On Feb. 14, 1998, in Lyons, Ohio, he married Grace Keller and she survives.
Jerrol grew up in Manchester where he graduated from Manchester High School and was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ. He was always a farmer at heart and was formerly employed by the Washtenaw County Road Commission, retiring in 1989 after 35 years of service. Jerrol moved to the Morenci area in 2000, and attended the Fayette Church of the Nazarene.
Besides his wife, Grace, Jerrol is survived by three daughters, Teresa (and Jeff) Henry of Manchester, Brenda Schlicht of Manchester and Pamela (and Paul) Mann of Lyons, Ohio; three sons, Jeffery Schlicht of Manchester, Brian (and Kay) Schlicht of Clinton, Mich., and Michael Caudill of Lyons, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce (and Richard) McClurg of West Redding, Conn., and Doris Sutton of Manchester.
Jerrol was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Rev. Paul Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, Ohio. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.
