John A. Warren, 64, of Hudson, Mich., died Aug. 28, 2011, at his home.
He was born April 7, 1947, in Hudson, the son of Jesse and Leona (Towers) Warren. He married Katherine Julian on March 28, 2003, in West Plains, Mo., and she survives.
John retired from Ann Arbor Fire Protection in 2002, with more than 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era, was a member of Local #669 Sprinkler Fitters Union and Hudson American Legion Hannan Colvin Post #180. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and dearly loved his children and grandchildren.
Besides his wife, John is survived by two daughters, Kristine (and David) Bloomer of Waldron, Mich., and Nichole (and Bronson) DiCenso of Morenci, Mich.; three step-daughters, Mary (and Darren) Joyce of Rockmart, Ga., Amy (and Carlin) Brown of Holt Summit, Mo., and Janet (and Robert) Lawrence of Kemp, Texas; two sisters, Karen (and Dennis) Moyer of Pittsford, Mich., and Sharon Hicks of Dexter, Mich.; one brother, James (and Louise) Warren of Grimsley, Tenn.; five grandchildren, one great-grandson, nine step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Warren.
Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson, with Rev. Donald Merillat officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
