Robert Kime, 84, of Lyons, Ohio, died July 27, 2011, at Heartland of Waterville in Waterville, Ohio.
He was born on April 15, 1927, in Seneca Township, Mich., the son of Howard and Bertha (Kreighbaum) Kime. On Nov. 13, 1948, in Seward, Ohio, he married Ruby Richardson and she survives.
Robert has lived in the Morenci/Lyons area all of his life. He was a graduate of the Chesterfield High School. He was formerly employed at Prestolite in Toledo, Ohio, as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1989. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II from October 1944 through August 1946. He was a member of the Lyons Christian Church and a member of the Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by a daughter, Luann (and Gary) Pennington of Fayette, Ohio; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leonard Kime, of Belleville, Mich.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James; a sister, Hazel Dulaney; and six brothers, Carl, Curtis, Jesse, Glenn, Howard and Gaylord.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Pastor Paul Bomeli officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
