Charles E. Bailey, 54, of W. Center Street, Waldron, Mich., died April 11, 2011, at his home.
He was born Dec. 23, 1956, in Huntingburg, Ind., the son of William and Norma (Miller) Bailey, Sr. He married Bertha Williams on Nov. 10, 1973, in Morenci, Mich., and she survives.
Charles was a lifelong Waldron area resident. He graduated from Waldron High School in 1974. He served in the U.S. Army, and he enjoyed woodworking.
Besides his wife, Charles is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (and James) Stone and Lorie (and Mike) McCort both of Union City, Okla.; three sisters, Cathy (and Joe) Han of Jasper, Mich., Pam (and Steve) Carlson of Alvordton, Ohio, and Carmen (and Randy) Belcher of Montpelier, Ohio; one brother, Tom (and Violet) Bailey of Britton, Mich.; his mother-in-law, Shirley Williams of Waldron; a sister-in-law, Joyce Swindell of Pioneer, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Karl (and Darlene) Williams, Jr., of Camden, Mich.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Bailey, Jr.; and his father-in-law, Karl Williams, Sr.
At Charles’ request, cremation has taken place and no visitation or services are planned. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home in Waldron.
