Curtis Covell, 81, of Morenci, Mich., died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Amboy Township, Mich.
He was born May 19, 1929, in Morenci, the son of Jasper and Flora (Pollard) Covell.
Curtis was a life-long Lenawee County resident. He was a high school graduate and furthered his education at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. Curtis was a farmer and a fruit picker. During the winter months he would go to Florida to pick fruit.
Survivors include a niece, Arlene Hughes of Niles, Mich.; a nephew, Myron Hornyak of Lefors, Texas; three great-nieces, Diana, April, and Joni Hughes, all of Niles; two great-great-nephews, Brandon and Ethan Hughes, both of Niles; and a cousin, Pauline Hoff of California.
Funeral services are planned at 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is scheduled from noon until the time of service Monday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
