Ralph F. Gigax, 90, formerly of Fayette, Ohio, died Oct. 29, 2006 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon, Ohio.

He was born Sept. 2, 1916 in Fayette, Ohio, to Edwin and Mary (Miller) Gigax. He served in the United States Army during WW II. He retired from the Morenci Rubber Plant with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.

Ralph is survived by four nephews, Larry (and Sandy) Gigax of Archbold, Ohio, Edwin (and Linda) Gigax of Bryan, Ohio, Raymond (and Cheryl) Mead of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Bruce (and Vivian) Gigax of Michigan; three nieces, Martha Knicely of Fayette, Helen Canfield of Alvordton, Ohio, and Esther Sagnimeni of West Unity, Ohio, and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gladys Mead; four brothers, Garfield, Walter, Roy and Gilbert Gigax.

Visitation is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with Pastor Larry Snow officiating. Military interment by the Fulton County Honor Guard will follow art West Franklin Cemetery in Franklin Township, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
