Bradley C. Whetro, 49, of W. Main St., Fayette, Ohio, died at home Dec. 23, 2010.

He was born Jan. 1, 1961, in Montpelier, Ohio, to Robert and Joanne (Tobin) Whetro. Brad married Betty Roger on June 8, 1996, in Fayette, and she survives.

Brad grew up in Alvordton, Ohio, and attended Hilltop High School, where he graduated in 1980. He had been employed with Titan Tire in Bryan, Ohio, for 15 years. Brad was an avid Ohio State Buckeye sports fan, as well as a supporter of the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Pistons teams. He is remembered for his love of spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Brad is survived by a son, Steven (and Stacy) Whetro of Fayette; a daughter, Danielle Whetro (and Montrice) of Toledo; his mother, Joanne Whetro of West Unity, Ohio; two step-sons, Jason (and Laura) Roger of Fayette, and Mike Roger of Perrysburg, Ohio; three brothers, Brian (and Lois) Whetro of West Unity, Rick (and Krista) Whetro of Bryan, and Brent (and Erin) Whetro of Edon, Ohio; nine sisters, Patsy (and Don) Cole of West Unity, Bobbie (and Jeff) Bowers of Edgerton, Ohio, Dawn Henderson of Bryan, Shelly Hatfield of West Unity, Gywn (and Dave) Livensparger of West Unity, Wendy (and Dave) Smith of Burkburnett, Texas, Kate (and Andy) Rickenberg of Bryan, Valerie (and Don) Engel of West Unity, and Carrie Whetro of Alvordton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Addisen, Mariah, Gabriella, Madelynn, and Lilly; his first wife, Drema Contreras;  and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Whetro; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Virginia Whetro; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Vera Tobin; and a nephew, Jason Lee Keck.Funeral services are planned at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette, with Pastor Danny VanArsdalen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
