Martin Craig Renner, 46, of Coldwater, Mich., died Dec. 11, 2010, at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich., surrounded by his family.
Martin was born June 30, 1964, in Coldwater, Mich., to Rodney and Mary Beth (Colbert) Renner. He attended school in Coldwater and Morenci, Mich.
Martin loved to ride his bicycle and thought nothing of riding 30 or 40 miles at a time. He also loved fishing, gardening, golfing and bowling.
Martin is survived by his father, Rodney, and mother Carolyn Sue Wooster Gray Renner; four brothers, Jeff (and Theresa) Gray, Chris (and Linda) Gray, Dan (and Dawn) Gray, and Todd (and Cathy) Gray; grandfather, James Wooster; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and special friend, Shirley Alger.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Beth; one brother, Jeffrey Scott; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service is planned at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Lockwood Community Church on Lockwood Road in Coldwater, with Pastor Shane Looper officiating.
Martin requested his body be donated to the U of M Hospital for research of a rare form of cancer.
