Lynn W. Cramer, 81, of Waldron, Mich., died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, Mich.
He was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Medina Township, Mich., the son of Carroll and Mary (Dick) Cramer. Lynn attended Fayette schools. He married Loretta Marie Dickerson on March 24, 1947, in Adrian, Mich., and she preceded him in death Aug. 1, 2001.
Lynn worked in several area factories. He enjoyed old cars, golf, bowling, bird watching and traveling. He was known as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Lynn is survived by four children, James Cramer of Waldron, Carollyn (and Paul) Keller of Hudson, Mich., Alisa Mead of Hudson, and Cindy Cramer of Waldron, 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Norvell (and Jenny) Cramer of Hillsdale, Mich., and three sisters, Valewayne Freeland of Portage, Mich., Virginia Zehnpfennig of Palomino, and Nancy (and Merle) Boyd of Sylvania, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Darrell Cramer; parents; and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are planned at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson, with Pastor William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Lime Creek Cemetery in Medina Township, Lenawee County, Mich. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the funeral home.
