Dean Kibler, 82, of Waldron, Mich., died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Heartland of Wauseon, Ohio.
He was born May 17, 1928, in Williams County, Ohio, the son of Fern and Elby (Towne) Kibler. On May 22, 1948, in Waldron, he married Jeanette Kuney and she survives.
Dean lived most of his life in the Waldron area and was a 1946 graduate of Alvordton High School. He was a member of the Munson United Brethren Church and the Waldron Lions Club.
Dean worked as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1990 from Aro in Bryan, Ohio. He enjoyed working on clocks and playing the harmonica.
Besides his wife, Dean is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (and Ed) Hassenzahl of Hudson, Mich.; a son, David (and Dawn) Kibler of Pickstown, South Dakota; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Doris Kauffman of Coldwater, Mich., and Norene (and Arnold) Brown of Indianapolis, Ind.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Sayers, in 1994; and a sister, Elaine, in infancy.
A private graveside service is planned at Waldron Cemetery.
