Helen A. Loar, 95, of Brooklyn, Mich., died Aug. 30, 2010.
She was born March 28, 1915, near Seneca, Mich., the daughter of Albert and Anna (Miller) Jones. She married H. Dale Loar, and he preceded her in death.
Helen and Dale lived in Blissfield before moving to Morenci where Helen worked at Bancroft Cleaners. They moved to Brooklyn in 1955.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by daughters Catharine Lapczynski of Caldonia, Mich. and Barbara (and Richard) Parks of Horton, Mich.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, Maude Smith, Dewaine Jones, Amos Jones, Evans Jones, Ora Jones, and Edith Jeanette Staelens.
A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Skiff Lake Bible Church, 8277 S. Jackson Rd., in Clarklake, Mich.
