Neva Gorsuch Jones Vanlerberg, 83, of Hemet, Calif., died May 5, 2010, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 29, 1926, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Clarence and Orlena Gorsuch.
Neva worked in the banking business for 20 years. She loved to travel and had visited all 50 states and many countries. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the RVers in Mission, and worked on 60 volunteer projects with the group in southern California, Arizona, Alaska and Mexico, over 14 years.
Neva is survived by her husband, Maurice; a son, Jerry Jones of San Pedro, Calif.; a daughter, Judy Randall of Morenci, Mich.; grandchildren, Christian Jones of Torrance, Calif., and Jennifer Jones of Harbor City, Calif; a step-daughter, Linda (and Tony) Izzo of Akron, Ohio; three stepsons, Thomas (and Kinza) of San Diego, Calif., James (and Linda) of Ottawa Lake, Mich., and Steven of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Herald and Lincoln Gorsuch; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clark Jones, in 1970; two brothers, Darrell and Galen Gorsuch; and two sisters, Donna Jones and Eva Jane Wills.
A graveside service is planned at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci at a later date.
