Adeline Johnson, 97, of Morenci, Mich., died March 25, 2010, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian.
She was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Blissfield, Mich., the daughter of Herman and Frieda (Mueck) Pieplow. On June 19, 1928, in Erwin, Tenn., she married Ernie W. Johnson. He preceded her in death March 27, 1999.
Adeline was a homemaker and was a member of the Morenci First Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Virginia MacGeorge of Tecumseh, Mich., Marlene (and Douglas) Livingston of Adrian, Mich., Eileen (and Delmer) Cadoo of Hudson, Mich., Karen (and Keith) Arquette of Blissfield, Marilyn (and George) Bryant of Morenci, and Janet (and Gary) Walter of Adrian; four sons, Allen of St. Joseph, Mich., Larry (and Peggy) of Hudson, Loren of Adrian and Kenneth (and Joyce) of Sand Creek, Mich.; one sister, Esther Hoffman of Toledo, Ohio; 37 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elaine; a son, Richard; a sister, Dorothy Skully; and a brother, Norman Pieplow.
Funeral service are planned at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 28, with Rev. Ned Newlin officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
