Steve Lewis LeVeck, 52, of Spring Lake, Mich., died Feb. 8, 2010, after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 16, 1958, in Hudson, Mich., to Patricia Murphy and Myron LeVeck. He graduated from Morenci (Mich.) Area High School in 1976, where he was the co-captain of the football team.
Steve was a paramedic for 28 years and a passionate entrepreneur. He founded Priorities, his own business consulting company, and was currently employed at North Ottawa Hospital in Grand Haven, Mich.
He loved reading, learning, being with people, eating warm butterscotch pudding, and life.
Steve is survived by his wife of 33 years, Darlene; daughters, Rachel, (and Logan) Bruursema and their son, Mack Steven; Heidi (and Aaron) Robison and their daughters Raegan and Addysen; and Holly (and Brad) O’Brien and their sons Lance Patrick and Brady Steven; and sons, Seth (and Chelsea) and their son Jackson Lewis; and Ethan Josiah; two brothers, Nate Elarton of Temperance, Mich., and Mark LeVeck of St. Louis, Mo.; and one sister, Pam Arquette of Morenci.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Green, and his mother Patricia Murphey.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday at Spring Lake Wesleyan church in Spring Lake with his brother, Rev. Nate Elarton, of Temperance, Mich. officiating. Visitation is planned at Klaasseen Funeral Home in Grand Haven, Mich.
A local memorial service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Christian Family Center in Adrian, Mich.
