Larry Hardy, 53, of Morenci, Mich., died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at home.
He was born June 15, 1956, in Pontiac , Mich., the son of Lloyd and Myrtle (Smith) Hardy. On Sept. 27, 1975, in Rochester, he married Jean Louise Anderson and she survives.
Larry was a self-employed journeyman bricklayer. He lived in Morenci since 1992, and was a member of the Morenci Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Besides his wife, Jean, Larry is survived by three daughters, Laura (and Sean) Wager of Morenci, Carrie (and Luke) Detwiler of New Haven, Ind., and Amber (and Izaak) Beck of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; a grandson, Emmett Wager; three sisters, Ethel Jean Duncan of Milford, Mich., Patricia Sullivan of Alden, Mich., and Sharon Chapel of Gaylord, Mich.; and three brothers, Ray Hardy of Rutherfordton, N.C., Don Hardy of Howell, Mich., and Ron Hardy of Presque Isle, Mich.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Krajenke.
A memorial service is planned at 4 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Morenci Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (two miles west of Morenci on Morenci Rd.). There will be no visitation or viewing.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
