Robert F. Myers, 82, of Waldron, Mich., died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, Ohio.
He was born Feb. 1, 1927, to the late Floyd F. and Huldah (Basinger) Myers. Robert married Joyce Gottschalk on July 14, 1951, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
Robert was a life-long farmer and a laborer. He was a member of the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church since 1955.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dave (and Viki) Myers and Steve (and Darlene) Myers, all of Waldron, Mich.; one brother, Oakley Myers, of Waldron; six grandchildren, Rob, Jen, Andy, Adam, Shelby and Sean; and seven great-grandchildren, Brody, Paige, Brianna, Dakota, Christian, Ryan and Autumn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rolland, Darrell, and Francis; and a sister-in-law, Marian Myers.
Funeral services are planned at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church in rural Archbold with James Basinger and Mark Bankert officiating. Interment will follow at Lauber Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church.
