Lawrence Kutzley, 86, of Morenci died December 7, 2009, at Heartland of Wauseon in Wauseon, Ohio.
He was born April 11, 1923, in Seneca Township, the son of Arthur and Birdie (Deline) Kutzley. He was married to Luva Mae Addleman in Seward, Ohio by the late Rev. A. T. Cox, and she survives.
Lawrence was a lifelong resident of the Morenci and Sand Creek areas. He was a farmer, truck driver and carpenter. After retiring, his hobbies were repairing and refinishing old furniture and building new furniture. He was leader of the Bean Creek Valley 4-H club for over 30 years and was a life member of the Lenawee County Fair Association.
Besides his wife, Lawrence is survived by two sons, Gaylord (and Kay) Kutzley of Morenci and Douglas Kutzley; one daughter, Linda (and David) Nafziger of Archbold, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Burton; and six sisters, Ruth Keller, Myrna Smith, Florence Thomas, Velma Pulliam, Glenna Belle Lawson and Pauline Zemlo.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is planned from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
