Darold R. Belding, 84, of Hillsdale, Mich., died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at the Hillsdale Community Health Center.
He was born May 16, 1925, in Kunkle, Ohio, to Harrison Jack and Eva (Marks) Belding. He married Millicent “Millie” Randall on Nov. 2, 1946, and she survives.
Darold retired in 1987 from Allied Products in Hillsdale. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II. Darold was a member of the Happy Kampers. He enjoyed square dancing and was a former member of the Salk Trail Square Dancers.
Surviving besides his wife are three children, Denise (and Jesse) Morgan of South Bend, Ind., Harold (and Pamela) Belding of Hillsdale and Jerald (and Susan) Belding of Jonesville, Mich.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna (and Bob) Campbell of Adrian, Mich., and a brother, Ronald (and Marilyn) Belding of Biloxi, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lowell.
Funeral services for are planned at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Diane Schaffner officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette, Ohio. Visitation is scheduled Tuesday from noon until the services at the funeral home.
