Rex Dennis, 83, of Morenci, Mich., died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Sun Terrace in Sun City Center, Fla.
He was born Oct. 19, 1925, in Gorham Township, Ohio, the son of Harrison and Leo (Borton) Dennis.
Rex lived in the Morenci area most all of his life. He worked as a private CPA. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Morenci American Legion Post #368.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Eastman of Georgia, Carol (and Clay) Alford of Georgia, and Michelle (and Walter) Clark of Florida; a son, Kirk (and Rachel) Dennis of Morenci; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rick Bender; and three brothers, Robert, Hal and Allen Dennis.
A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci, with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
