Stanley Ross Stong Sr., 87, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died Aug. 30, 2009.
He was born in Morenci, Mich., the son of Stanley Ross and Mary Stong.
Stanley graduated from Morenci High School and the University of Michigan. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for Ford Motor Company as a finance executive. Many of those years were spent at Ford’s headquarters in Brazil.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Joan Kitchen; sons William, Bradford and Stanley Jr.; step-sons, John and Andrew Kitchen; step-daughter, Barbara McLean; a sister, Marilyn Smith; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Anita.
A memorial service is scheduled Sept. 26 at the Northville (Mich.) First Presbyterian Church. Internment will follow in Northville.
