Hazel Blood, 76, of Waldron, Mich., died Monday, June 8, 2009, at her home.
She was born July 24, 1932, in Addison, Mich., the daughter of William and Hazel Marie (Knauss) Maxson.
Hazel was a lifelong Waldron area resident. She enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her family, and she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Surviving Hazel is one daughter, Debbie Blood, of Waldron; two sons, John Blood of Waldron and Joseph Blood, Jr,. of Archbold, Ohio; three grandchildren, Vicky (and Jared) Kohlruss, Michael Blood and Joseph L. Blood III; one great-grandson, Aden Blood; one sister, Grace Curtis, of Hudson, Mich.; and one brother, Glen Maxson, of Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Del and Charlie Maxson; and one son, Michael Blood.
Private graveside services for Hazel are planned at Leonardson Cemetery in Pittsford, Mich., with Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating. Arrangements were made by Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
