Lynn Farley, 72, of Morenci, Mich., died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 21, 1936, in Seneca Township, Mich., the son of Lewis and Gladys (Horn) Farley. On June 20, 1964, in Morenci, he married Kathleen Keller and she survives.
Lynn was a life-long Morenci area resident. He attended Jackson Community College and graduated from Morenci High School in 1955. He retired from Tecumseh Products in 1999, after 42 years of service, and from Goodwill Industries in Adrian in 2009, with more than nine years of service.
Lynn was a very active member of Morenci Bible Fellowship Church and Men’s Promise Keepers. He was involved in the Morenci school mentoring program, served as a 4-H Leader, enjoyed traveling and was a devoted husband who dearly loved his children and grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Dawn (and Mitch) Blonde of Adrian, Mich., Kimberly (and Scott) Bower of Britton, Mich., and Lynn Ann Farley of Marshall, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Grace and Grant Blonde and Megan, Sara and Ava Bower.
He was preceded in death by his parents and foster brother, Norman Holmes.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Morenci Bible Fellowship Church with Rev. James Yatzek officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is planned from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci and on Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may make memorial contributions to Morenci Bible Fellowship Church.
