Ralph D. Anthony, 76, of Prattville, Mich., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at his home.
He was born April 22, 1932, in Flat Rock, Mich., the son of Joseph and Nellie (Clark) Anthony. He married Thelma A. Craig on Sept. 5, 1953, in Belleville, Michigan and she survives.
Ralph formerly lived in Brownstown Township in Wayne County, Mich., before moving to the Prattville area in 1994. He retired from Quanta Corporation in Brownstown in 1990 after several years of service and was previously employed at Woodhaven School District in Wayne County for several years. Ralph was also a member of Prattville Community Church.
In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by three daughters, Sheryl (and Bob) Harold of Southgate, Mich., Roxann (and Mike) Derby of Monroe, Mich., and Julia (and Al) Partain of Prattville; one son, Ralph D. (and Dawn) Anthony, Jr., of Prattville; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene (and George “Tex”) Morris of Louisville, Tenn.; three brothers, Joe (and Betty) Anthony of Gladwin, Mich., LeRoy (and Alice) Anthony of Romulus, Mich., and Bill (and Marita) Anthony of Taylor, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Ronald Anthony.
Funeral services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Rev. Martin Bacalia officiating. Interment will follow in Prattville Cemetery. Visitation is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
