Mary Norine Blaker, 89, of Medina, Mich., died June 30, 2006 at Toledo Hospital.
She was born Nov. 2, 1916, in Medina, to Josiah and Mamie Etta (Warvell) McVay. She married Ralph Harrison Blaker on April 11, 1936 in LaGrange, Ind., and he preceded her in death April 19, 1969.
Mary was a member of the Medina Federated Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Sandy (and Ivan) Davis of Morenci and Joyce Longo and Tamara Cooke, both of Nokomis, Fla.; three sons, Ralph W. Blaker and Michael (and Sharon) Blaker, both of Medina and Tim (and Laura) Blaker of Morenci; one daughter-in-law, Joanie Blaker of Morenci; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Nancy McCarty; two sons, Doyle and Marvin Blaker; four sisters, Florence McVay, Gertrude Sprague, Mildred Ely and Josephine Deline; and three brothers, William, Reed and Floyd McVay.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at Medina Federated Church. Burial will follow in Medina Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
