Henry Sinks, 88, of Morenci, Mich., died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at the Provincial House in Adrian.
He was born May 26, 1920, in Clarkesville, Tenn., the son of Jerry and Nancy (Powers) Sinks. On June 3, 1941, in Clarkesville, he married Geneva Harris. She preceded him in death April 20, 1991.
Henry worked for more than 40 years at Ace Drill in Adrian, Mich., from where he retired in 1980. He owned and operated Sinks Antiques in Canandaigua from 1972 through 1987. He attended the Main Street Baptist Church in Leesburg, Fla., and was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Medina.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda (and Lynn) Richardson of Delta, Ohio, Nancy (and Kim) Valentine of Morenci and Carol (and Brad) Moran of Morenci; three sons, Robert Sinks of Lady Lake, Fla., Donald (and Sandi) Sinks of Lady Lake, Fla., and John (and Karen) Sinks of Morenci; one sister, Jackie Holden of Milford, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Sinks, of Adrian; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Henry was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Roger; three sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral service are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. Ned Newlin officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Visitation is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
