Roxie Bluntschly, 88, of Medina, Mich., died Friday, July 18, 2008, at home.
She was born July 19, 1919, in Winchester, Tenn., the daughter of William and Callie (Mann) Taylor. On April 10, 1937, in Angola, Ind., she married George Bluntschly. He preceded her in death in April 1985.
Roxie was a homemaker living most of her life in the Morenci area where she was a member of the Medina Federated Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy (and Bruce) Pigg of Adrian; two sons, Kenneth (and Laura) Bluntschly of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Robert Bluntschly of Florence, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; and several great- and great-grea-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Roxie was preceded in death by four sons, Bill, Douglas and Phillip, and Jimmy in infancy; and 12 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the Medina Federated Church with Rev. Darren Lemmon officiating. Arrangements were made by Eagle Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Lenawee County or a charity of donor's choice.
