Marian R. Glasgow, 79, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, Ohio.
She was born on July 4, 1928, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of James Merton and Mildred (Brown) King. She married Donald E. Glasgow Sept. 17, 1949, at Sturgis, Mich., and he survives.
Marian received her bachelor of science degree in education from Kent State University. She played trombone in the university marching band. She taught at several schools and was a substitute teacher for many years. She taught piano and organ and was a church organist. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo.
Surviving Marian, in addition to her husband, Don, of Archbold, Ohio, is one daughter, Rebecca Lovelass of Fayette, Ohio; a son, David (and Christine) of Sturgis, Mich.; and a son, Jonathan, of Long Beach, Calif. Also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two sisters, Betty Kavander of Berea, Ohio, and Millie King of Albuquerque, N.M.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ruth, and a brother, Donald King.
Funeral service are scheduled at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Eagle Funeral Home, in Fayette, with Pastor Greg Grover officiating. Visitation will precede the service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
