Larry Borton, 59, of Morenci, Mich., died June 3, 2008, at his home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1948, in Morenci, the son of Max and Stella (Horn) Borton.
Larry was a graduate of Morenci High School. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1968 through January 1974, during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the Morenci American Legion Post #368 and a member of the 40/8 Post #997 of Adrian.
He retired from Roth Fabricating in Morenci this year, after 13 years of service.
Larry is survived by Sandy Borton of Morenci; four children, Muriel Robinson, Wayne White and Adam White, all of Morenci, and Cliff (and Shelly) White of West Virginia; one sister, Patricia (and Marvin) Hephner of Hudson, Mich.; one brother, Don Borton of Chase, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald.
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
Visitation is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
