Johnathan Ivan Pike, 18, of Morenci, Mich., died Saturday, May 24, 2008.
He was born June 22, 1989, in Adrian, Mich., to Penny A. Pike and Darryl L. Anderson and they both survive.
John was attending Baker College in Owosso, Mich., majoring in history and computer technology, and wanted to transfer to Olivet College to become a youth pastor. He graduated from Morenci Area High School with the Class of 2007, and excelled in track and cross country.
Surviving John are his parents Rick and Penny Delaney of Morenci; four brothers, Matt, Chris, Jay and Robert, all at home;maternal grandmother, Pat Pike of Adrian; paternal grandparents, Pastor Bob and Carol Hicks of Wauseon, Ohio; paternal grandfather, George Anderson of Adrian; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Duane Pike, and paternal grandmother, Daisy Anderson.
Memorial services are scheduled at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the Morenci Area High School gymnasium with Pastor Bob Hicks and Rev. James Yatzek officiating. Private interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
Visitation is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may make memorial contributions to the family.
