Kenneth Green, 77, of Morenci, Mich., died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the Bixby Medical Center in Adrian.
He was born March 18, 1931, in Lyons, Ohio, the son of Welcome and Flossie (Cleghorn) Green. On Nov. 11, 1956, in Ogden Township, he married Shirley Lemke and she survives.
Kenneth worked in construction for 30 years and was a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America Local #499 out of Ann Arbor. His favorite pastime after he retired was refinishing and repairing furniture, feeding birds and being outside. He enjoyed his cat “Tom” who already misses him.
Besides his wife, Shirley, Kenneth is survived by a daughter, Becky Zook of Sand Creek, Mich.; a son, James of Columbus, Ohio; a grandson, Arthur; two sisters, Amelia Sanborn of Hudson, Mich., and Alice Micsinszki of Canada; a brother, Harlan Green of Georgetown, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Clara Snyder and Evelyn Stewart; and three brothers, Miller, Maurice and Charles Green.
Funeral service will be graveside at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Visitation is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
