Erva Blaker, 83, of Morenci, Mich., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Fayette, Ohio, the daughter of Glenn and Emma (Seiler) Hochstetler. On Oct. 22, 1943, in Fayette, Ohio, she married Duane Blaker. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Erva graduated from Fayette High School and was a member of Morenci First Baptist Church. She retired from Sheraton Manufacturing in Wauseon, Ohio, after 30 years of service.
Surviving Erva are three daughters, Janet Blaker of Lansing, Mich., Nancy (and Jerome) Sullivan of Plymouth, Mich., and Diane (and Paul) Lunde of Maumee, Ohio; two sisters, Virge Fether of Fayette, Ohio, and Arlean Felger of Alvordton, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Amy Sullivan of Washington, D.C., and Kathleen (and Kwasi Mitchell) Sullivan of Arlington, Va.
Besides her husband, Erva was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gaylord and LeRoy Hochstetler.
Funeral service are scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Morenci First Baptist Church with Rev. Hal Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Tedrow Cemetery. Visitation is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
