Michael G. Fidler Jr., 32, of Montpelier, Ohio, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at his residence.
Michael was born Jan. 2, 1975, in Morenci, Mich., to Laura (McLouth) and Michael G. Fidler Sr. He married Tabatha L. Brewster on May 1, 1999, at Pioneer, Ohio, and she survives.
Michael was a 1993 graduate of North Central High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and management from Tri-State University in 1998.
He worked as a quality engineer at Metaldyne, based in Niles, Ill.
He was an avid softball player with the Lima Legion and Montpelier Eagles and he played in more than 200 games this past summer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brenden M. Fidler of Montpelier; his father, Michael (and Carol) Fidler Sr. of Hillsdale, Mich.; his mother, Laura (and Scot) Burcham of Pioneer, Ohio; three brothers, Joe (and Kristin) Fidler of West Jefferson, Ohio, Chris (and Doonie) Fidler of West Unity, Ohio, and Ryan Stuck of West Jefferson; a sister, Andrea Fidler of Hillsdale; and paternal grandmother, Norma Fidler of Waldron, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James L. Fidler, and maternal grandparents, Genevieve and Fauril McLouth.
Funeral services were Dec. 24 in the North Central High School gymnasium, with Nelson Rupp officiating. Interment followed at Teeters Cemetery, Fremont, Ind.
