Grace I. Boyd, 100, of County Road T, Fayette, Ohio, died Oct. 1, 2007, at Toledo Hospital.
She was born Oct. 24, 1906, in Britton, Mich., the daughter of John and Ida (Knaggs) Taylor. She married Donald Boyd in 1927, and he preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1990.
Grace graduated from Britton High School in 1924 and earned a teaching certificate from County Normal Ypsilanti. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Morenci, the Morenci Grange and the Fulton County Extension Club.
Grace is survived by a son, Merle (and Nancy) Boyd of Sylvania, Ohio; a daughter, Lois (and Jon) Haines of Pine Mountain, Calif.; daughter-in-law Patricia Boyd of Adrian, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Tom (and Mary Ann) Boyd, Bill (and Toni) Boyd, Janet (and Allen) Warren, John (and Diane) Boyd, Greg (and Robin) Boyd, Jeff (and Julie) Boyd, Scott (and Krista) Boyd, Michael (and Nora) Boyd and Bill (and Kelly) Haines; 18 great-grandchildren, Amy, Tom, Elisia, Matthew, Scott, Andrew, Joshua, Ivan, Noah, Anthony, Mitch, Anna, Matilda, Taylor, Lauren, Parker, Spencer and Mason; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brittany, Cohen, Emma, Juan, Paytience and Richard; a niece, Sue Martin of Holt, Mich.; and a nephew, Dick Kingsbury of Punta Gorda, Fla.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale; a sister, Mary Kingsbury; and two brothers, George and James Taylor.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. John Boyd and Rev. Don Merillat officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
Visitation is planned from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
