Dortha Mae Limbaugh, 94, of Morenci, died Jan. 6, 2006 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 4, 1911 in Dover Township, the daughter of Frank and Addie (Tibbins) Shaffer. She married Luther Limbaugh in 1950 in Angola, Ind., and he preceded her in death March 8, 1982.

Dortha was a homemaker who lived in Morenci all her life. She attended the First Congregational Church in Morenci and was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge in Morenci.

Dortha is survived by two daughters, Reva (and Bill) Clark of Morenci and Madelyn (and Melcher) Custer of Coldwater; five grandchildren, Valerie (and Dave) Milliman and Jim (and Diana) Clark, both of Manitou Beach, Jon (and Cathy) Clark and Becky (and Orville) Metcalf, both of Morenci and Vickie Betz of Mesa, Ariz.; 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Luther, she was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Clarence Miner.

Funeral services were Jan. 8 at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
