Anniversary: Devon and Ginny Vernier 2013.06.26

anniv.-vernier2Devon and Virginia Vernier will celebrate 50 years of marriage.

Devon Vernier and Virginia Brazee were united in marriage June 29, 1963, at Morenci Church of the Nazarene. Rev. John Deline and Rev. Max Miller, the uncle of the groom, performed the ceremony.

The wedding party consisted of sisters of the bride, Louise, Mary and Sybil Brazee and Darlene King, sister of the groom. Groomsmen were Duane and Jack Vernier, brothers of the groom; Gerald King, brother-in-law of the groom; and Jason Brazee, brother of the bride. The flower girls were nieces of the groom, Shelly King and Cindy Vernier, and ring bearers were Rick and Nick Vernier, nephews of the groom.

Devon and Virginia have two sons, Rex (and Brigell) and Kirk (and Kim) Vernier. They also have twin grandchildren, Devon Fay and Forrest Kirk.

Virginia retired from Morenci Area Schools where she was a school teacher. Devon is employed by Morenci Area Schools.
