    FROM THE LEFT, Landon Wilkins, Ryan White and Logan Blaker try out their artistic skills Saturday afternoon at the Morenci PTO’s first Date to Create event. More than 50 people showed up to create decorated planks of wood to hang from rope. The event served as a fund-raiser for miscellaneous PTO projects. engage.towersJennifer Towers and Hunter Freeman of Muskegon, Mich., have announced their engagement.

Jennifer is the daughter of Brian and Debra Towers of Fayette. She is a 2003 graduate of Wauseon High School, a 2007 graduate of St. Francis University and a 2009 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. She is employed as a certified nurse midwife in Muskegon. 

Jennifer is the granddaughter of Glenda and Lawrence Towers of Fayette and Doris and the late Max Waite of Wauseon.

Hunter is the son of Charles and the late Marilyn Freeman of Muskegon. He is a 1995 graduate of Mona Shores High School in Muskegon and a 2000 graduate of Michigan State University. He is employed by All Season RV in Muskegon.

The couple is planning an April 13 wedding in Muskegon.
