Dana Marie Joughin and Clayton George Sims of Reed City, Mich., were united in marriage March 10, 2012, at the Church of the Nazarene in Reed City. Pastor Chris DeMott performed the ceremony.
Katelyn Pennington, twin sister of the bride from Nashville, Tenn., served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Gillman, friend of the bride, of Morenci; Ashley Joughin, sister-in-law of the bride, of Morenci; and Danielle Sims, sister of the groom, of Grand Rapids, Mich. Evelyn Joughin, niece of the bride from Morenci, served as flower girl.
Aaron Sims, brother of the groom from Reed City, served as best man. Groomsmen were Clifford Sims, brother of the groom, of Commerce Township, Mich.; Justin Joughin, brother of the bride, of Morenci; and Adam Jerry, friend of the groom, of St. Louis, Mich. Lincoln Sims, nephew of the groom from Reed City, was the ring bearer.
Ushers were friends of the bride, Mason Sanders of Morenci and Steven Garrow of Jackson, Mich., and friends of the groom, Monty Price and Ryan Ward, both of Reed City.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Osceola Fairgrounds in Evart, Mich.
Dana is the daughter of Dan and Carrie Joughin of Morenci. She is a Morenci Area High School graduate, and is pursuing a degree in nursing at Baker College of Cadillac, Mich.
Clayton is the son of Valerie Samuels and Robert Sims of Reed City. He is a graduate of Reed City High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Alma College and a master’s degree at Ferris State University. He is currently employed as a special education teacher at Reed City High School.
The couple currently resides in Reed City.
