The Fayette Opera House has scheduled eight concerts as a part of its 2012-13 Passport to Great Entertainment Season.
The Passport Season will feature three Sunday afternoon concerts through the Glasgow Reed Organ Series and five Saturday evening concerts in the Fayette Artist Series.
Both concert series are sponsored by the Fayette Community Fine Arts Council, and will be presented in Fayette’s Historic Opera House.
Glasgow Reed Organ Series
The Glasgow Reed Organ Series will open its season at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, with organist Rodney Jantzi, of Toronto, Ont.
On Nov. 11, Brian and Laura Ebie of Akron, Ohio, will perform “A Patriotic Program” on the organ and flute at 3 p.m.
Terry Jankowski and Robin Bloomberg of Monroe County, Mich., will perform on organ and cello at 3 p.m. April 28.
Fayette Artist Series
Ten-40, the Bowling Green State University Men’s Vocal Ensemble, will open the Fayette Artist Series at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.
Other concerts scheduled are:
Dec. 1, the Joy Bells, a one-woman “hand bell sensation” from Detroit.
February 23, “Amelia Earhart” by Carol-Starre-Kmiecik, Historical Theater from Cleveland.
March 16, Elaine Romanelli, pianist from New York City.
April 13, Fiddlers ReStrung, young fiddlers from Saline, Mich.
All programs are scheduled at 7:30 at the Opera House.
The Opera House doors will open one hour before curtain time.
