Fayette village council members applauded the efforts of village financial officer Lisa Zuver to obtain her Master Municipal Clerk designation. Certification is earned through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

Meg Murphy, clerk for the City of Wauseon and past president of the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association, presented a certificate June 27 showing completion of the program.

Murphy was accompanied at the Fayette council meeting by nine other clerks and fiscal officers.

Murphy said that Master Municipal Clerk is the highest designation available. Out of 922 Ohio communities, only 41 of them have a master clerk.

In addition to congratulating Zuver, Murphy thanked council members for their  support of Zuver’s professional development efforts in recent years.
