Montgomery Gentry and Styx are the two headline acts heading for this year’s Fulton County Fair. The 155th edition of the fair is slated Aug. 31 through Sept. 6 at the “Top of Ohio” Fairgrounds, just north of Wauseon on State Route 108.

On 7:30 p.m. Labor Day Monday, one of country music’s all-time greatest duos, Montgomery Gentry, will entertain the grandstand crowd with such favorites as “Work Hard, Play Harder,” “Missing You,” “So Called Life,” “Lucky Man,” “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” and their newest release, “Rebels on the Run.”

Two Kentucky boys, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry have had 14 Top 10 singles and five No. 1 hits and are members of the Grand Ole Opry. Tickets for the Labor Day Country Concert with Montgomery Gentry cost $25, $22, and $20.

Styx, which has performed at two Super Bowls takes the fair’s grandstand stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 2.

Best known for its mega-hits, “Come Sail Away,” “Crystal Ball,” and “Grand Illusion,” Styx broke through the mainstream with “Lady.” Spawned in a suburban Chicago basement in the early 1970s, Styx continues to sell out at venues all across the nation. Tickets to the Styx Sunday night concert cost $25, $22, and $20.

The most expensive tickets are for a limited number of fans who wish to stand on the track (known as festival seating).

Other grandstand events include the first-ever Pickup Truck Pull competition Sept. 1;  the NTPA Tractor and Truck Pulls Aug. 31 the Lost Nations Rodeo Sept. 4; and Ohio's Greatest Demolition Derby on Sept. 6.

The Fulton County Christian Music Ministries tent will feature Elvis impersonator Elvis Wade and the Christian group 33Miles. Both performances are offered at no cost.
