Jim Driskill seeks commissioner seat 2012.06.13

Posted in 2012 June

Jim Driskill of Hudson will challenge  incumbent District Three county commissioner Rob Hall in the August primary. Both are running as Republicans. District Three includes Rollin, Hudson and Medina townships and the cities of Morenci and Hudson.

Driskill has been a resident of Lenawee County since 1952. He graduated from Hudson High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Adrian College in 1968. He taught school and coached for 31 years in the Addison Community School District. Since his retirement, he has been employed in insurance sales.

Driskill wants the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners to be more transparent and have a set of county government goals listed by priority.

His goals for the county are to make public safety the number one priority; to support funding of the Lenawee County Economic Development Corp.; make thoughtful budget decisions instead of across-the-board cuts; and to support all efforts to maintain, fund and improve the county road system.
