Law enforcement officials are investigating two recent break-ins.

On Feb. 15, a residence located at 13451 Co. Rd. 13 in Wauseon was entered between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. A side entry door to the garage was forced open to gain entry.

The home was ransacked. Taken from the residence was a camouflage Mossburg .20 gauge slug barrel, a Ruger Model 77 .17 caliber rifle with scope, a Casio keyboard, a Dell computer with 22-inch monitor, costume jewelry and a set of Wahl clippers. The total value of the missing items is $1,441.

A residence located at 13705 SH 66 in Fayette was broken into between Jan. 4 and Feb. 5. Entry was gained through the basement.

Taken from the home was $2,300 worth of jewelry in gold rings, gold bracelets and gold necklaces.
