Fulton County spelling bee 2012.02.15

A Fayette third grade student finished second in her class at the Fulton County Spelling Bee.

Adalina Rosas took second place in the  third grade division. This was her first year to compete in the contest that includes students in grades three through eight.

The competition was scheduled Feb. 7 at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center.

First place winners from fourth grade and older advance to the Toledo Blade competition in March.

Evergreen winners included Madalynn Peluso, fifth place, third grade; Alexandra Gillen, second place, fourth grade; Trinity Martinez, fourth place, fourth grade; Zoe VanOstrand, first place, fifth grade; 

Bailee Walborn, first place, sixth grade; Jonah Blanchard, fifth place, sixth grade; Leah Schwan, sixth place, seventh grade; Ross Shaffer, fifth place, eighth grade.
