The State Bank and Trust office in Lyons was one of two northwest Ohio banks that were robbed Friday.
At about 11 a.m. Friday, a lone white male, armed with a dark handgun, entered the State Bank branch in Lyons and demanded money from a teller. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, according to the FBI.
Forty-five minutes later, a lone gunman robbed the Sherwood State Bank branch in Ridgeville Corners.
Witnesses said the suspect fled in a black, older car, described as small to mid-sized, with black-painted rims, shiny hub caps, and possibly a rear fin. There was said to be orange-colored lettering on the back of the vehicle.
The suspect is described as 5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He has a thin build, approximately 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing what appeared to be a dark, two-tone jacket, zipped in the front, with a hood, dark sunglasses, a black ski mask and black gloves.
In both robberies, the suspect provided tellers with a blue Meijer reusable shopping bag.
