The Lyons Grill restaurant is back in business, one year after closing, and there will be a familiar face in the kitchen for many Morenci area residents.
Dan and Cheryl Storrer, owners of Stella Blue restaurant in Archbold, are the new owners in Lyons.
“We heard it was closed and knew it had a good location,” Dan said. “There’s a good radius of other towns and that sparked our interest.”
Dan used to work in construction and he welcomed the challenge of clearing out the old restaurant and creating a new look inside.
The Storrers hired Andrew Whitehead of Morenci to serve as chef and they’re pleased to have him as part of the Lyons Grill team.
Dan expects to make a few menu changes as they settle into their routine, but customers should expect to find prime rib back on the menu like the former Lyons Grill, along with New York and rib eye steak, and Cincinnati style chili (spaghetti with brisket, Texas-style chile), burgers, pastas and home-cut french fries.
“We’ll add some features as we go,” he said, and the Storrers also aim to establish lunch hours.
