Five criminal citations were issued in the past month by the Fayette Police Department.
Two people were cited for possession of dangerous drugs and one for possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle. Two citations were written for lawn care ordinance violations.
Among the 11 traffic citations written, there were three for crashes, three for speeding, two for drunk driving, and one each for failure to observe marked lanes, failure to control a vehicle and operating an unsafe vehicle.
During the month ending July 27, the report includes 33 village ordinance complaints, 15 traffic-related incidents, nine theft reports, eight juvenile problems, eight suspicious situations, eight assists to other departments, six assists to citizens, six reports of domestic violence, five complaints about animals, four alarm reports;
four fireworks complaints, four warrants, four harassment complaints, three reports of disturbing the peace, three alcohol incidents, two narcotics incidents, one civil complaint, one recovered property, one open door, one trespassing complaint and one check on the welfare of an individual.
