Ed Nofziger and Dean L. Spangler have joined the board of trustees for Sauder Village.
“We are excited to welcome these knowledgeable and respected professionals to our board, particularly at a time when Sauder Village is meeting new challenges and opportunities to continue our educational mission and family friendly experiences,” said Debbie Sauder David, Sauder Village executive director.
Nofziger, of Archbold is the president/CEO of Haas Door Company, Wauseon. He started working with his father at Nofziger Door Sales in 1969, incorporated the company in 1973 and sold it in 2010. In 1995 Ed purchased Hass Door Co., a manufacturer of garage doors. The company currently employs 200 people.
Spangler, of Bryan, is the CEO of Spangler Candy Company. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Company, followed by a career in the brick business serving as president of Boren Brick of Greensboro, N.C. In 1996 he returned to Northwest Ohio and become the sixth individual to lead Spangler Candy Company, the 104-year-old business.
The two new members join current trustees Dick Anderson, Julie Brotje Higgins, Marcia Sloan Latta, Harold Plassman, Carolyn Sauder, Myrl Sauder, Maynard Sauder, and Shirley Short.
