Lots of music. Plenty of food. Games, contests and softball.
It’s all part of this year’s Fayette Fall Fest scheduled downtown Sept. 25.
Bakers should look through their recipes for the best apple, pecan or pumpkin pie for the annual contest. New this year is a chile cook-off, with judging planned at 4 p.m. on the Opera House stage.
The Pet Parade returns to this year’s festival, along with corn hole tournament and kids games. A 50/50 Chicken Drop raffle is planned, plus a quilt raffle and dunk tank.
Fall produce will be on sale, along with arts and crafts and a wide array of food, including a chicken barbecue, milkshakes, Don’s bean and ham soup, a bake sale, hamburgers and sausages, hot dogs and brats, a baked potato bar, soft serve ice cream and various other items.
This year’s entertainment lineup starts off with karaoke by Wonda Biner, followed by Southern Express band. Following the pie auction, the band will return to perform once more.
