It’s not too early to start looking around the garage, basement and attic. Fayette’s annual Fall Clean-up is scheduled Oct. 23.
Residents interested in the curbside pick-up must register and pay in advance for the service. Forms are available at the village office.
The cost is $20 per hopper load, which is figured at about two cubic yards or the size of a pickup truck bed. There is a minimum charge of $20 for a partial load.
All loose items must be contained in 30-gallon bags or containers. Certified trash cans with handles must be used. Fifty-five gallon drums are not permitted.
Loose items that don’t fit in a container should be bundled and tied, with a length no greater than five feet. The weight of any container or bundle should not exceed 30 pounds.
Paint cans must have the lids removed and should be dry inside.
Items not accepted include liquids of any kind; refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners; building and construction material, including concrete; vehicle tires and batteries; hazardous waste; ashes; and yard waste.
